It is said that there will always be "the one" dog in your life.   Pernod was it for me.   I belonged to him as much as he belonged to me, and I still get a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye whenever I think of him.   He had everything.   A really wonderful example of the breed which showed in all of his many achievements, but also with a temperament second to none.   The best way of describing him is to say he was "an utter Gentleman".

In France he won BOB's, CACIB's, RCACIB' s and CAC's. His greatest achievement was at Lyon Ch Show (Briard Special) where he won CACIB and BOB under judge Herve Blassell (President French Briard Club) and then went on to become Group Winner under another past French Club Specialist.

He had a lovely strong head, and solid bone throughout. His super balanced outline showed through in his movement which was steady,fluid and true.  
But his temperament was second to none.   So kind, loyal, loving and affectionate.  A true gentleman through and through.  He touched the hearts of everyone he met.
His brother Zimbabwe CH Beaugency Panache at Camenro was  2nd Top Herding Dog 2002 (all breeds) and although only lightly shown in 2001 was 4th Top Herding Dog.
